Zeynep is the founder of this project. She completed her BA in Textiles at Central Saint Martins University in London in 2022. She’s been researching Anatolian crafts for 8 years and her interest in crafts inspired her designs during her university years.

In the final year of her degree, she used the scholarship she received from the “Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters” to collaborate with craftspeople from Turkey. Her final collection, “Psychedelic Anatolia,” which is based on the story from 70’s Anatolian Rock and Sarıkeçili Nomads, was published in Vogue UK and ELLE UK magazines in the “Young Designers to Follow in the Future” section. She now works on her London-based fashion and accessories brand ZEY, in addition to dedicating her time to Craft Antakya.

Gülay holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) and has amassed 20 years of experience in the engineering field.

Currently, she serves as the Stock and Logistics Manager for the Craft Antakya project, where she is responsible for overseeing inventory management, coordinating supply chain activities, and ensuring the efficient distribution of materials. Her role is crucial in supporting the project's mission to revive and sustain traditional crafts in the Antakya region.

Irem is a graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, with a background in applied arts and graphic design. She is operating her own company ‘Heavenly, Practice.’ specializing in areas such as Art Direction, Graphic Design, and Brand Strategy.

She is also the founder of the social and environmental initiative “Dünya Için” (For the Planet). İrem is responsible for the Communication Design and creative management of certain projects within Craft Antakya.
